Euro movies do it better, sometimes

European films are more “realist,” static and character-driven than American movies. When the balance is struck between that and the more dynamic–some would say crass and spastic–American style, the results can be exceptional. My first book was published in March of 2009: Indie Rock 101: Running, Recording and Promoting Your Band, everywhere through Focal Press. It features interviews, photos and Q&As with some of my heroes in indie rock.
In addition to writing it, I provided all graphic design and illustration.
